  • You struggle with focus, follow-through, or time management

  • You feel stuck in cycles of avoidance, guilt, or procrastination

  • You experience shame or harsh self-criticism

  • You mask, overcompensate, or feel exhausted trying to keep up

  • You want support that understands both the practical and emotional sides of ADHD

Maybe you’ve noticed that…

Your brain isn’t broken. It just hasn’t been supported in the way it needs.

Living with ADHD or being neurodivergent can feel frustrating and exhausting. You might struggle with focus, follow-through, time management, or starting tasks, and find yourself stuck in cycles of avoidance, guilt, and self-criticism. You may look like you’re managing on the outside, while internally feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or stuck.

It’s not a lack of effort. It’s a mismatch between how your brain works and the expectations placed on it.

In ADHD therapy, we focus on understanding your patterns with curiosity instead of judgment. We slow things down and explore both the practical challenges and the emotional impact of navigating ADHD in a world that hasn’t always supported you.

Alongside building realistic systems and strategies that actually work for you, we also focus on the deeper layers. This can include reducing shame, exploring identity, and understanding how past experiences, including school, family, or relationships, may have shaped how you see yourself.

I use an ADHD-informed, attachment-focused approach, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work to support both regulation and self-understanding. As an ADHD therapist, this might look like working with parts of you that feel overwhelmed, avoidant, or self-critical, while also developing tools that feel sustainable and supportive.

This isn’t about forcing yourself to be more productive. It’s about learning how to work with yourself in a way that feels more compassionate, more effective, and more aligned. Over time, you can feel more grounded, more self-trusting, and less stuck in cycles of burnout, avoidance, or self-doubt.

If you’re looking for ADHD therapy in Maryland that feels collaborative, practical, and grounded in real understanding, I’d be honored to support you.

ADHD Assessment

If you’ve been wondering whether ADHD might be part of your experience, this is something we can explore together through a structured, collaborative assessment process.

I offer adult ADHD assessments using a combination of clinical interview, evidence-based screening tools, and a structured ADHD interview called the DIVA-5 (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults). This process helps us explore patterns of attention, focus, impulsivity, and executive functioning across both childhood and adulthood.

This assessment is based on a clinical interview and structured tools and is different from formal psychological or neuropsychological testing.

If a more comprehensive psychological evaluation is needed for academic, workplace, or disability accommodations, or if you are considering whether medication might be part of your care, we can talk through options and coordinate referrals to appropriate providers.

"The greatest damage done by ADHD is not the missed deadlines or the messy desk; it is the corrosive effect on a person’s self-esteem."

— Dr. Russell A. Barkley, Taking Charge of Adult ADHD
